Muddy Sound / Album Tribute Concert Tour
"I like many of their songs, but I'm not a huge The Residents fan. Apparently, I don't care for many of the ones off The Joshua Tree album. The sound was HORRIBLE! It was muddy and echoey. At times, I was able to count 3 distinct echos. This could have been a reflection (no pun intended) of my seat location. I was sitting to the left side, just over halfway up the stadium seating in the 400 level seats. This would correspond to about the 35-yard line at an Indianapolis Colts game. The entire first part of the show is a performance of songs only from this album. I say this because of the 30-year-old The Joshua Tree album. It wasn't until the "encore" that I began hearing songs I love. Friends of mine who had floor access said the sound was wonderful and clear. For me, I could understand the lyrics of the songs I knew, but when Bono spoke between songs, I could only understand 10% of what he said. Lastly, because of my seat location, I couldn't see all that was being projected on the huge screen behind the stage. I probably won't go to another concert at Lucas Oil Stadium because of the sound issues I encountered. I hope you fare better."
